Comparing both these consoles will be revealing experience, for the game lovers, and they will be in a better position to choose one of them as their permanent gaming solution. The processor of the PS3 has a processing speed of 3.2GHz with up to 8 synergistic processing units. On the other hand, The Xbox 360 sports a custom 3.2GHz G5 with 3 dual-threaded cores. The PS 3 contains an L2 cache of 512K, while the Xbox 360 has an L2 cache of 1 MB. There is a 256MB of main memory plus 256MB of video memory in PS3, while the Xbox 360 shares a 512MB of memory between the CPU and GPU, additionally it has 10MB of very efficient e-DRAM dedicated solely to the GPU. The bandwidth memory of the PS3 is 25.6GB/s as compared to 22.4GB/s for the Xbox 360.

The PS 3 utilizes a cheat code gta 5, Reality Synthesizer, graphics processor with 24 pixel pipelines and 12 vertex pipelines, while the Xbox 360 Elite utilizes a custom ATI processor with 48 combined pixel & vertex pipelines. The PS 3 console comes with a 60 GB memory, while the Xbox 360 supports a 120 GB memory. The PS 3 optical drive is Blu-ray CD ROM, which supports DVD movie discs or Blu-ray movie discs. On the other hand, The Xbox 360 contains a Dual-Layer DVD-ROM drive. In order to play High Definition movies on the Xbox 360, an external tray load HD-DVD player must be purchased, which is an add-on feature. The PS3 supports various memory cards while The Xbox 360 contains two memory card slots that only accept proprietary memory units. Both consoles share the feature of multiple USB 2.0 ports.
